Urgent call!:
Stop the assaults upon Iranians in opposition
Prevent the deportation of Mr. Mohammad Lofti und Mrs. Maryam Anbarporti
(Members of the central committee of the Socialist Party of Iran SPI)
Manifestation
Monday December 30th 2002
9:30 a.m.
Town Hall Troisdorf (near Siegburg/NRW)
Mrs. Maryam Anbarpori and her two daughters received a deportation-demand for December 30th 2002. They are told to appear with luggage at 10:00 a.m. in the Town Hall in Troisdorf (near Siegburg). Mr. Mohammad Lofti has decided not to leave his family alone.
The authorities in Troisdorf are planning another human tragedy! A deportation will destroy the life of the Lofti-Anbarpori family.
Both, Mr. Mohammad Lofti and Mrs. Maryam Anbarpori, are members of the Central Committee of the Socialist Party of Iran (SPI). Because of their determined struggle against the brutal, dictatorial islamic regime, their participation in the opposition and their high profile they were forced to escape to Germany. In Germany they are organised in the Socialist Party of Iran. In consequence of their tremendous experience and their enormous commitment they have a prominent role in the party. They raised their voice against the inhuman regime in Iran at many public manifestations, at appearances of ambassadors of the (iranian) regime in Germany and at numerous demonstrations and events. They called on people to support the (female) workers and the students-movement in Iran, whose protests for social justice and freedom of speach are brutally shot down. They demand solidarity with the hundreds of thousands of prisoners in the dungeons and torture-chambers of the islamic republic. Criticism of the regime and the religious leadership is punished by public executions. Women are stoned to death. Torture, rape, underfeeding and deseases are an everyday life experience for many of the approx. one Mio. of prisoners in Iran.
When the family came to Germany six years ago "Vollasyl" ("Complete Asylum") was granted to them at first instance, referring to Paragraph (§) 16. The Federal Office filed an objection. Thereafter the plea for asylum was rejected. In case that the accountable authorities have examined the evidence that have been brought forward by the family and the Socialist Party of Iran, then the planned deportation of the Lofti family is preparation and assistance for murder.
The planned deportation of two members of the Central Committee points to the possibility, that the intensifying political and economical relations of Germany and the Islamic Republic of Iran have an impact on decisions concerning questions of political asylum. The Socialist Party of Iran has allway criticised these relations, because they signify a direct support of the regime in Theran. The denial of asylum for the Lofti-Anbarpori family is an aimed attac on an oppositional party which is disturbing german economic interests.
We call on all organisations, initiatives and everyone for whom justice and human rights are more than only words, to immediately send protest-faxes to the address below and to come to Troisdorf on Monday:
